Young People VS World After Graduation

My first 'Thoughts' post is a rant! YOUNG PEOPLE VS WORLD AFTER GRADUATION

As a young person I believe we are beyond what categories or desk the world puts us in.
There are too many talented young people who work hard on getting knowledge for a job they may never get. Instead they are using their 3 - 4 year degrees on shop floors, behind counters, handing out leaflets or reading out survey.

My view on this world is to create your own. Not to wait for someone else to set your contract, pay, hours, holidays. Limit your ideas to a job description, you don't even want to do.

Don't settle for a job because you graduated many months ago and you are sick and tired of uploading your CV and cover letter.

Companies act like you are lucky they are considering you, but they are lucky your giving them your ideas and adding to their future success.

Am i the only one who feels like there are too many young people who worked so hard on a degree that now only seems like a paper sitting in their home.

I believe there is more we can do. This is 2014 and i believe we should think beyond job applications.

Here is my thought process. You are a brand, and what makes a brand successful; being the best in the market and knowing the people who can make you better. That is exactly what you should do; build your personal brand and your network.

I will be collecting some ideas on what the best way to do this is and posting it up as an iDiya.

The professional world as we know it is a mess. Too many graduates and not many jobs. To avoid it being your mess you have to do take matters into your own hands, not wait for your turn, if it comes.

You have to stay optimistic and believe in your capability. Don't settle and always know that you have the choice.

Thoughts to key.
